ScrapingBee's Google Search API turns a Google query into structured JSON. The search_type parameter supports classic web search, news, maps, images, Lens, shopping, AI Mode and ads.

Responses include organic results, local and map results, knowledge graph, related questions and searches, top stories, ads and hotel results. When Google returns an AI Overview, it is available in an ai_overviews field, but only in regular requests. Google AI Mode is supported separately through search_type=ai_mode. The Google API covers Google only; ScrapingBee also offers dedicated APIs for Amazon, Walmart, YouTube, ChatGPT and Gemini, and a general web-scraping API that handles headless browsers and rotating proxies for arbitrary pages, with proxy and JavaScript-rendering costs ranging from 1 to 75 credits per page.

Requests need an API key and a search query, with optional parameters for country code, device and result page, extra Google parameters such as hl and num, plus latitude, longitude and radius for precise geolocation.

Light requests are on by default: they skip the browser, cost 10 credits and may omit some content, while light_request=false costs 15 credits and returns the full page. You can integrate with Python, Node.js, PHP, Ruby, Java, Go, Make, n8n, Zapier and LangChain.

It fits developers, SEO teams and agencies that want Google SERP data plus general scraping under one subscription and one credit pool.

What ScrapingBee actually includes

Eight Google search types

Classic, news, maps, images, Lens, shopping, AI Mode and ads searches return structured JSON from one endpoint.

AI Overviews and AI Mode

AI Overviews appear in an ai_overviews field on regular requests, and Google AI Mode is available with search_type=ai_mode.

Light vs regular requests

Light mode costs 10 credits and is faster; regular mode costs 15 credits and renders the page for fuller data.

Country and precise geolocation

A country code and device can be set (language through extra Google parameters like hl), along with latitude, longitude and radius for local results.

Dashboard, MCP and no-code integrations

A request builder shows credit cost before sending, and a remote MCP server plus Make, n8n, Zapier and LangChain integrations are documented.

ScrapingBee's strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • Covers eight Google search types, including Lens, shopping and ads, in one API
  • Documents both AI Overviews (ai_overviews field) and Google AI Mode
  • Remote MCP server and Make, n8n, Zapier and LangChain integrations
  • Entry plan is $49/month and the credit cost per request is published
  • Same credit pool also covers a general web-scraping API and other site-specific scrapers

Limitations

  • AI Overviews are returned only in regular requests at 15 credits, not in the cheaper 10-credit light mode
  • Google API supports Google only, with no Bing or other engines
  • Credits are shared across all ScrapingBee products, so costs depend on the request type used
  • No async or batch endpoint is documented for the Google API

How much does ScrapingBee cost

Monthly plans run from Freelance at $49/month (250,000 API credits) to Enterprise 69 at $3,599/month (69M credits). A Google Search API request costs 10 credits in the default light mode or 15 credits in regular mode. New accounts get 1,000 free API credits once, with no credit card required (one-time, not recurring); prices exclude VAT.
